Art, Anyone?
Yesterday I attended the 32nd Annual Winter Park Art Festival. It ran yesterday and today from 9-5 pm and featured artists from all over the state with their wares.
I came across some pretty interesting items including blown glass bowls and sculptures, handcrafted wooden boxes and wine corks, and even huge iron statues of various animals (at least I am pretty sure they were made of iron).
There was also lots of food, entertainment and even children’s activities like free ‘jingle bracelet’ making, balloon art and face painting.
This was the first year I have gone and my family as a whole had a pretty good time perusing and buying. The kids probably had more fun in the fountains but at least there was something for everyone!
Did anyone else attend this year and, if so, what did you think?
I went on Sunday with my girlfriend. I really enjoyed the black & white photography and the panoramic pictures that were on display.
Afterwords, we went and ate at O’Boys Bar-B-Q which topped off the great afternoon in Winter Park.
We went Saturday afternoon, and I was suprised at how good a time we had. There were some really great pieces and thankfully at all price points. I loved that all the artists were Floridians, too.
