Predictions From Turtles?

According to a wildlife expert in South Florida turtles are telling us it’s going to be a bad hurricane season.

Apparently last year he noticed turles nesting higher prior to four hurricanes hitting Florida. This year he says they’re nesting even higher than before.

What do you think? I guess we’ll all know by the end of the year!

We were just discussing this at work (since our line of business is recovery from these kinds of things) and we’re all going to be keeping track of how this plays out.

Animals are excellent predictors of weather or geological disasters; witness the studies in California regarding animal behavior and earthquakes and the behavior of animals in the area prior to the recent tsunami.

We are coming over to Florida in two weeks and staying for three months in Davenport.

Please don’t tell me we are all going to get blown back home again.
