A Lull

My husband and I took advantage of a lull in the storm to see if we could find any store crazy enough to be open for business. We knew we would, it was just a matter of WHERE.

Sure enough, off of Bumby and Michigan we found an independantly owned Kwik Mart. They had no power and were ringing us up on a calculator, but we didn’t debate the prices any because my husband needed cigarettes and I needed soda.

We were just grateful they were there. Especially since the curfew has been changed from 9 pm to 6 pm. I expect more wind and rain tonight as the back end of the storm passes through, but I am hoping for a return to normalcy tomorrow and perhaps *gasp* school on Tuesday.

Hmm… school on Tuesday, just my humble opinion here, but I don’t think I would be sending my kids back so soon.
