Orange County Deputies Dress Like Silly Pansies

Hey Look at Me! I'm a Dofus! You keep doing it, and I’ll keep saying it. Dressing officers of the law in silly costumes while they pull over citizens during commuter hours only illustrates the point that you are spending more creative thought and effort in targeting people who actually have jobs and contribute to society than you are the murders and thugs that have driven our crime rates to the point that we are rated consistently one of the most dangerous cities in the damned country. If you’re going to be a joke of a police force, well, I guess you better dress the part then, don’t you? Bunch of keystone coppers on our our hands, I swear.

You’re dead right about all this–I guess the local media here isn’t helping either by being dumb enough to dutifully cart their expensive photographic and video equipment out to every intersection where a leprechaun/elf/Uncle Sam catches traffic violators.

I’m with you–I’d rather see stories about REAL busted perps, not this softball crap.

And to clarify, I understand the need for traffic safety and am all for devoting some level of resources to it, but I wish they would dress up like Uncle Sam if they have to and park their trap in the areas of town that are consistently filling our morgues with corpses. Regardless, officers of the law should not only command dignity in their appearance, but for chrissakes, show some level of respect to the citizens you are issuing citations to. It would be pretty poor taste to have an overdue visa bill delivered to you by a laughing jester, could you at least maintain the same level of decorum as the credit card companies?
