It’s About Time!

WFTV, Channel 9 here in Orlando, just broke the story that “Orlando Commissioner Daisy Lynum is under a state investigation for abusing her power.” because of her actions last June when her son was pulled over for driving with a broken headlight. Both Juan Lynum and his mother attempted to turn attention away from her actions (calling the police chief at home at 3am in the morning because her son was crying on his cell phone to mommy about being stopped) by claiming that the traffic stop was “racial profiling”.

Now the State Ethics Commission is investigating her actions.

It’s about time.

Now if someone would just investigate her for the arrogant attitude she displays whenever anyone calls her judgment into question, it would be a slam-dunk decision.

Well it’s about time. Hopefully this will open up a can of worms into the long and checkered past of this leech on the city of Orlando and the black community and she’ll finally be exposed for the exploitative racist corrupt politician she is.

From the Sentinel: Lynum said Wednesday she did nothing wrong by calling McCoy at 12:51 a.m. May 6, 2006.

“I never asked anybody for anything special,” she said. “I never asked for a ticket to be fixed — I didn’t even know a ticket was being discussed.”

What?!?!? Uh, first, if you have the home number of the Orlando Police Chief and you call him at almost 1am when you son is pulled over, yeah, you are asking for something special. Lady, not only do 99.9% of citizens have that kind of access (making it special), but 100% should never think that it’s appropriate. Second, what the heck did you call him to discuss? Oh, you’re son told you he got pulled over and you picked that moment to call McCoy and ask him what color his PJ’s are? What a lying crooked miserable wretch of a so called community leader. Own up lady, or step down, or preferably both and save yourself a shred of dignity.
