It makes me sick

Officer%20Callin.jpgHit and runs have reached EPIDEMIC proportions! I just read where the officer hit yesterday near Universal (a hit and run where the driver fled on foot) died tonight. And in a separate incident in Polk County another officer was killed by a hit and run driver. Over the weekend a young woman was left on the side of road to die after a hit and runner driver fled the scene in west Orange County.

Since when did we as a county become so lawless?!?! Too many episodes of Cops or reruns of OJ??

This makes me sick and it’s just senseless.

Deputy Michael Callin during the DFC Adam Pierce’s “grow a beard” fundraiser. Despite receiving massive blood transfusions, Deputy Callin was pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m. as about 300 relatives, friends and co-workers crowded Orlando Regional Medical Center to be nearby, Sheriff Kevin Beary said. The married, 26-year-old motorcycle officer had fought for life for more than a day while doctors worked to repair massive internal injuries including brain damage and kidney failure.

To Officer Callin’s family and friends… I don’t know you or your loved one. But I want to extend my deepest condolences. I cannot imagine the grief you are going through during these last 24 hours as he clung to life. I’m so terribly sorry that one of our citizens would do this to you and for what… a senseless speeding ticket. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My heart goes out to Dave and Anna for the loss of their son Michael.

Dave and Anna are very close friends. We grew up together in Orlando Florida,
I’ve known Dave since he was about 8 years old.
Our parents were friends with each other.

We all went to the same church together at Downey Memorial Church in Union Park….Right across the street from Lake Downey.

Our church youth group, was a pretty tight knitted.

I met Anna later on down the road…She and I became good friends.
Many Memories of our Adventures When Anna & I were together.
I went to Dave & Anna’s wedding I have their wedding date and the Birth of their son Michael
    Written in my Bible.

Such a Good couple they both love God. As you can tell in the daily walk.

It’s been a few years since I have seen the family as I live in another state now and don’t come home as much as I should.

Some of my family still lives in the area.

Both of my Nephew’s were good friend with Mike.
They both told me the other day that they could always count on Mike helping them out with whatever they needed help with.

    An overall Good Guy!!!

Prayer are going up for you all.

    Love ya and Miss you!!!!!!
