Ok, so who has gas and who doesn’t?

I know people have been going crazy over the gas shortages and many people are saying it’s more media hype than a real problem. However, thanks to the hype, both gas stations on my street are out of gas. I was lucky enough to fill up Wednesday at $2.56/gal because by the time they get gas back in, it’ll be close to $3!

That should last us through the Labor Day weekend and by then I’m hoping gas has been delivered (and, this may be asking too much but, a little lower in price?).

What’s going on in YOUR part of the city?

It’s hit or miss around where I live (Altamonte/Maitland.) I too was lucky to fill up before the panic set in. My understanding is that there is enough fuel and more is on the way. The shortage seems to be caused by people acting like idiots. Here’s a tip: instead of hoarding gas, try driving less this weekend. I saw a guy on the news last night who said he drove for 70 miles looking for a gas station. Hello! Am I the only one who sees the stupidity in this?

    Waterford Lakes here…

I was driving to the gym 2 days ago, and I noticed that the 87 octane was at $2.63 per gallon. When I left the gym (1 hour later), it was at $2.77 per gallon.

Today it is at $3.00. I think i’m going to buy stock in Huffy.

My family had a Labor Day roadtrip planned. When gas availability became uncertain we canceled. No driving this weekend.
