Craft Fair
Did anyone go to the craft fair at Lake Eola yesterday? I did. It was…interesting. And huge. And very crowded. Most of the crafts I saw were on the cheesy or old-ladyish side. I saw two booths selling “Redneck Windchimes” that were basically beer cans strung from a piece of wood. There were a lot of pet-related items, like carrying bags for dogs. Although I came across some yummy candles for sale, and one booth selling quirky hairbows and purses caught my interest, I wound up not buying anything.
Oh, and there were a TON of sponsors there. I think there were almost as many sponsors as there were crafters.
Anyway, it was still an interesting event. They should do more of these things, minus the redneck windchimes.
We were out there as well and like you we found more crafts than art. I’ve never seen so many booths selling jewelry and dog items.
I guess my tastes run more to the Winter Park Art Festival type of event.
