80 Degrees in December

It’s hard to get worked up about a storm when the skies are cornflower blue and it is a beautiful day outside. Your head knows better, but your body is saying, wow.. lets go to the beach! Kinda like trying to Christmas shop when it is 80 degrees out side.

The last 3 days I’ve been getting ready for this blinkin storm and that’s how it has felt. Storm?? Really?? You couldn’t tell it by looking outside or even looking to the horizon.

This morning I got up and it still looked like a typical Florida saturday morning. But now it’s starting to get very cloudy and the wind is definitely there, although right now it feels more like a nice spring zephyr. Nothing ominous feeling yet, but the signs are starting to show that there REALLY is a storm looming out there.

No feeder bands here yet, no rain … but my neighbors not so far away are already feeling it, so I know it’s just a matter of time.

Is anyone else impressed with some of the technology they are using for this thing? Our local channel 9 (ABC) has some amazing technology that shows the water temps, how long each feeder band will take to get somewhere and they are even telling some communities when it will leave. Too cool.
